During the intake session, we look at what brought you here and what your expectations are. This allows us both to see if we are prepared to start a therapy. Next we arrange a regular pattern of sessions, depending on the nature and gravity of the complaint.
I am convinced of the healing potential of talking. Talking brings your thoughts out, makes them tangible and controllable. This is why psychotherapy consists mainly of talking about what’s on your mind, in your head but also the rest of your body. The important thing is that you can speak freely, in a respectful and non-judging environment.
Psychotherapy doesn’t have a set goal. A certain complaint has brought you here, but just talking the complaint away usually doesn’t last. Together, we will try to find a durable and permanent way of dealing with your problems.
